About Me: Hello, my name is Shiouh-Miin (Emma) Lin 林綉敏, and here's a little info about me:
I am originally from Taiwan. I love all forms of art. I decorate my house with Chinese Calligraphy as it shows traditional Chinese good temperament.
I love swimming and swimming has become a life time sport for every member in my family. We have been deeply involved in community swim team events. Every summer my husband and I volunteer in our kids' swim team. Aside from swimming, my daughter and I also foster a cat from an animal shelter and volunteer for their cat adoption shows.
I love teaching and I hold a provisional career switcher teaching license with an endorsement in Chinese for K-12. During the school year, I teach at Sunday Chinese language school. My students learn Chinese as a second language. I also teach Chinese language at Robinson Secondary school. The pages that I post here I created after attending NOVA StarTalk workshop during 2013. I believe incorporating technologies into language teaching makes learning Chinese more interesting.
If you have any question, please contact me at [email protected].
